Cherry Delights

well it's about time someone post a recipe on here! i got this recipe from the wonderful laurie Ta'ase in our ward. she is the best cook. she made these for our enrichment night last week and they were so good that i decided to make them valentines weekend. they were a hit. i can't remember the name of them so i am calling them...

Cherry Delights!

Ingredients:
1 box brownie mix (make according to the box)
3/4 cup sugar
1 8 oz cream cheese
1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup whipping cream
1 large container cool whip
Cherry pie filling
Chocolate syrup

In a foil cupcake liner (this works best), or you can use paper ones, but i would spray them with pam. put about 1 tbsp. brownie dough. Bake until done. Shouldn't take too long, so watch them. Let cool.

In the meantime, whip up the cream cheese really good with the sugar. Then add the almond extract and whipping cream and whip again. Now just fold in the cool whip.

Place the white mixture on top of the brownie. Top with 2 to 3 cherries and chocolate syrup. I like these after they have been in the refrigerator for a while because they set up.
Enjoy :)
